As a member of the Toronto community, I know how important it is to support our small businesses.
I know that more and more small businesses here in Toronto are being affected and to continue to support them as much as we can, I’ve compiled a list of local businesses and restaurants across the city that you can support from home. With an increasing number of small businesses closing, we must come together as a community and find ways to support our local business. 1. Paramount Fine Foods
How You Can Help: By ordering a meal you are can show support for Paramount Fine Foods and their efforts to support Feed Our Heroes, an initiative to support hard-working frontline healthcare workers through meal delivery. How You Can Help: Every Wednesday Canada Take Out is encouraging Canadians across the country to order takeout en-masse in a show of support for their favourite local restaurants. Visit their website to find your local restaurant and start your Wednesday Take Out!
Plus, you’re also invited to Canada’s Great Kitchen Party – Home Edition, featuring special Canadian guests including Tessa Virtue, Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy, Great Big Sea’s Alan Doyle & more – all in support of Canada’s restaurants. Who They Are? #TakeoutDay launches on April 7th & continues every Wednesday until the restaurants welcome us back. We are encouraging Canadians across the country to order takeout en-masse in a show of support for their favourite local restaurants. Promoting restaurants across Canada that are still offering takeout options across social media, paid media, collaborations & public relations. Creating a user-generated map to promote restaurants across Canada that are offering takeout & delivery options on an ongoing basis.
3. FarmR 🍽
How You Can Help: Order your next ready-to-heat and serve meal, and indirectly support a local business dedicated to sourcing suppliers who include a local Toronto aquaponics farm for lettuce, a local Ontario quinoa company, all Ontario raised meat, and a vegetable supplier just up the 400 series highway.

Who Are They? Our Story. We opened our restaurant in 2017 by the St. Lawrence Market to share our passion for local food with the Toronto community. We believe good food should be healthy, delicious and accessible to everyone.
4. Five Doors North 🍽
How You Can Help: They are a proud partner with feedthefrontlines.org. They are currently offering 10% off all takeout orders (including wine and beer!). Takeout orders can be placed over the phone. Delivery is available through DoorDash.

Who Are They? Since 1997. A Yonge & Eglinton staple locally known for its bustling shabby-chic setting for homestyle Italian cuisine, with fresh pasta & plates for sharing. Who Are They? A Yonge & Eglinton staple locally known for a unique map to the vast Indonesian islands. From traditional satays to nasi goreng and rendang, there’s history and culture spread across our menu. We offer small, street-inspired Indonesian dishes, many that feature our homemade spice blends. Who Are They? The Tabule Family of Restaurants is made up of 4 uniquely designed venues specializing in Middle Eastern Cuisine: Tabule Midtown, Tabule Riverside, Tabule Bayview, and the fast-casual Souk Tabule. The first restaurant founded in 2005 by Chef Rony Goraichy and Diana Sideris located in Midtown on Yonge Street, quickly earned its place among the finest Middle Eastern restaurants in Toronto and its popularity rose from there.
2012 saw the launch of Tabule Riverside featuring hip, exotic cocktails and many of the much-loved menu items from the original restaurant, like Chef Rony’s famous Falafels, Fattüish Salad and of course their award-winning house-made hummus.

Who Are They: The Venetian People have a reputation for being direct and speaking their minds. For better or worse, you’ll know we're not hiding anything. Our food is the same way. Simple, fresh, honest ingredients combined the way they should be. The recipes come straight from Italy and, if we can’t find the right ones here, so do the ingredients.
10. Leslieville - Eastside Social 🍤🍻
How You Can Help: Buy a dinner kit and support a local east-end business restaurant. If you love seafood and live in the east end of Toronto then you probably know about Eastside Social...and if you don't then I think you should get to know the local Leslieville favourite which has some incredible seafood and pasta options, and during the pandemic, they’re offering pre-order dinner kits for takeout.
